Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PerkinElmer.
Application Engineer
I first met with HR and then the direct manager. After a 2-week wait, I had a final interview with the Europe manager, and this interview was in English.
- Would you have a problem with frequent travel (50% of the time)?
Field Service Engineer
I interviewed with a team of three people: the regional director, the regional manager, and the local team leader. They asked me questions about the job and about my personal traits that might impact my job performance. The interview was friendly and pretty casual. I later found out this was a good team to work with at PerkinElmer in the Midwest.
- Can you trace the flow of electricity on an electrical diagram?
Field Service Engineer
The interview process included a written test, followed by a group discussion, a technical interview, and an HR interview. Most of the process took place at the college, except for the HR interview. It was a long and tiring process. The interviewers were senior management with a lot of experience.
