First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Peri Software Solution.
Programme Analyst
The interview had two parts. First was a chat with HR about my background, what I studied, and to check my programming skills. Then, I had a technical round with one of their tech people. They asked me SQL questions. The interview wasn't too hard, but I didn't get it, maybe my qualifications weren't what they needed. I didn't like how unprofessional the technical guy was. After it was all done, I never heard back, even after emailing and calling them a bunch.
- They asked me to pick a programming language I'm best at, and I picked SQL.
- I was asked questions about SQL Joins.
- I was asked questions about SQL Select statements.
Human Resources
Scheduling the interview was quick, but they only set aside 30 minutes when it ended up taking nearly an hour. The HR Manager was late, so I had to wait, and another interview was scheduled at the same time. We were interrupted three times during my interview, which is a major no-no. The interviewer basically went through my resume with typical questions and didn't take notes. When I asked about the company's DOL investigation into H-1B violations, the interviewer's response didn't match what was in the press release on their website. I was not impressed.
- Can you describe your experience with new hire orientations?
Software Engineer
So far I've had one of two phone screens, and it was pretty short. They mainly asked about how confident I am in my studies and my interest in learning on my own. I did some digging on the company, and I know the next interview will be technical, focusing on a programming language I pick. I think Java is the way to go after checking out their site.
- Tell me about what you learned in college.
- Can you describe your coursework?
- What projects have you been involved in?
Programme Analyst
First, I had an HR interview where they asked about me, my education, my experience, and my skills, and if I was okay with relocating. After that, there was a technical interview where they asked basic questions from the language I picked. I chose Java, so they asked some questions about Java and Object Oriented Concepts.
- Could you explain what a class loader is?
- Can you describe the concept of enum?
