Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Performance Food Group.
Truck Driver
It was pretty easy and straightforward. They give new drivers a fair chance. It was a basic interview with questions and a road test. Overall it was a good interview, but it's competitive too. Just try watching videos of how being a driver for this company is before going to interview.
- What would be your course of action in an accident?
Route Driver
It was a great interview experience. The people were enjoyable to talk to, and we discussed random topics as much as we did about the job itself. The driving test was very easy and actually quite fun too. Based on this, it seems like a really good place to work with good people to work for.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to handle a challenging customer?
Class A Truck Driver
The interview process involved a phone interview, an in-person meeting, a driving test, and a drug test. After these steps, a job offer is extended via call or email. This process can be lengthy. My application timeline included a phone interview two days after applying, followed by an in-person interview a week later, and then the driving test another week after that. It took approximately a week and a half to receive the job offer by email.
- How many years have you been driving professionally?
- Could you detail your driving experience?
- What were your responsibilities in your previous driving roles?
