Project Manager
The process started with a quick and easy initial call with recruiting. The first interview with a PM was 3 weeks later, possibly due to holidays or scheduling. The next stage was a mandatory presentation to the team, which they found "new." It went well. I gave them some feedback on the process, mentioning they didn't provide enough information for what they were asking. After that, I was ghosted. There was no communication, minimal responses to my emails, and excuses about waiting for project budgets. I hope they don't treat their clients the same way.
- Could you present on how to run a steering committee and provide budget burn down reports?
Project Manager
It was a really pleasant experience, the recruiter was super relaxed and that made me feel comfortable. Later, they sent me an English test by email to verify my level, which I passed. However, I didn't have any previous experience or training in Scrum at the time, which is why I didn't proceed.
- Did you have prior knowledge of Scrum?
Project Manager
After several email and phone discussions with the recruiter, I went through 3 one-on-one interviews. The whole thing took about 6 weeks from start to finish, and then it was another 2 weeks before an offer came through. I spoke with a Client Services Manager, a Sales Executive, and the General Manager. I actually didn't even meet the person who was supposed to be my boss until a few weeks into the job – and I put "boss" in quotes because this person is more like a figurehead and doesn't really manage day-to-day.
- What's your approach when a client demands something beyond the contract, claiming it was included in the scope?
