ASIC Verification Engineer
It was a nice interview experience. The company came for on-campus placements. After submitting my resume, the first technical round was scheduled. I qualified that, and the second round was scheduled soon after, within a few days, without much delay.
- Questions in the first round were mainly from C programming, digital electronics, SQL, projects, and some logical questions.
- In the second round, questions covered coding, digital, a few analog questions, basic Verilog, and logical reasoning.
ASIC Verification Engineer
The interview process started with a written test covering verilog and digital electronics. Then there were two interview rounds. The second round involved questions about digital electronics (like logic gates, conversions, combinational and sequential circuits, flip flops, synchronous and asynchronous systems), Verilog basics, and some questions from a programming language of my choice. The final round was also an interview, and the questions were on the same topics.
- Can you draw an XOR gate using only NOR gates?
- What exactly are universal gates?
- And why are they referred to as universal gates?
ASIC Verification Engineer
They started by asking me questions about my previous projects. Then, there were questions covering C programming basics and some coding tasks, as well as Python programming with theoretical aspects. Digital Electronics concepts were also discussed. Finally, they inquired about the specific software I utilized in my projects.
- Can you explain the difference between a Melay and a Moore machine?
- Are there any other questions you'd like to add?
