First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PerfectServe.
Growth Marketing Director
The interview process at PerfectServe started off strong with engaging conversations and a well-run panel interview. The team was prepared and professional. However, communication dropped off after the panel stage, with no follow-up provided. Overall, the experience was okay, positive interactions early on, but the lack of closure later in the process was disappointing.
- How do you approach prioritizing and executing marketing campaigns?
Implementation Consultant
It was 4 rounds of video interviews with different people. The questions were pretty repetitive and there were a few brain teasers in each interview. I had to solve the 3 people with red or blue hats problem, write out doctor scheduling in a mathematical formula, and figure out how to organize 50 green apples and 50 red apples into two buckets.
- Could you introduce yourself and explain your motivation for applying to this role?
- Can you describe your approach to the classic 'three people with red or blue hats' puzzle?
- How would you represent the problem of scheduling doctors using a mathematical formula?
Specialist
I got an email about a role I didn't apply for, and they wanted to interview me. I said I was interested but asked for a job description, which I never got. The recruiter said we'd discuss that role too. She was supposed to call at a certain time but emailed 15 minutes later saying she was in a meeting. We rescheduled, and she gave me a time outside my availability, but I made it work. Then, she called two hours early, having sent the wrong time. During the call, I could hear background noise from people talking and laughing. She mentioned a manager would follow up in the next two days, but that didn't happen. I was really unimpressed with the recruiter's professionalism and hope it's not reflective of the company culture.
- What makes you want to take on this role?
VP Marketing
The interview process was fast but complete. Following initial phone screenings with main executives, I went to Knoxville for in-person interviews with the heads of HR, operations, sales and marketing, and the CEO, Terry. I actually had over a 2-hour meeting with Terry! I thought the meetings were thorough and appropriately challenging (using situational questions) to make sure it was a good match culturally and skill-wise. Communication and feedback during the process were helpful, and I got a job offer fast.
- Can you share an instance where you had to challenge an executive, and explain how you managed that scenario?
