I had a very negative interview experience. The three interviewers, from different hierarchical levels, spent the entire time questioning my experience and skills, despite having my CV beforehand. If my profile wasn't a good fit, they could have just not invited me. That would have been more respectful than bringing me in only to face demeaning and unjustified remarks. The whole interaction felt like a trial rather than a professional exchange, which was very uncomfortable. It's possible to ask tough questions without being humiliating. I understand not every profile is a match, but basic preparation (like carefully reading the CV) and respectful interview conduct should be standard.
