First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PepsiCo.
Sales Intern
The interview process was pretty straightforward, just one round that lasted about an hour. I chatted with a district sales manager who asked five lengthy behavioral questions. It was a good experience overall, though their email responses took a bit longer than expected.
- Can you describe a situation where you faced and overcame a significant challenge?
Sales Intern
I had one interview, and it was just general basic questions. I really focused on linking all my answers back to how I demonstrated leadership. I also made an effort to connect on a personal level by discussing my music tastes, which felt a bit out of the blue but seemed to work out well. I brought up the changing consumer trends away from sugary drinks and how that might impact their business, I guess showing I paid attention to the details.
- Can you share an experience of failure and how you recovered from it?
Sales Intern
The interview process was quite disorganized with scheduling. I made it to the final stage, speaking with the manager. The manager didn't ask me any questions, but instead spoke negatively about the company. Even when I didn't get the job, I asked for personalized feedback, which is supposed to be given if you don't get the offer, but they didn't even respond to that.
