Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PepsiCo.
Senior Manager
3 rounds took place. It wasn't super hard, but there were some tricky questions. They mainly wanted to see how you make decisions and handle uncertainty. The first round was technical, the second was managerial, and the third was with a stakeholder.
- How would you manage dependencies that span across different teams?
Deputy Manager
The interview process at PepsiCo is pretty structured and professional, very practical too. They focus more on real business problems instead of theoretical stuff. Usually, it starts with an HR screening, then you move to technical and hiring manager rounds. They want to see how well you know FP&A basics, understand P&L, forecasting, variance analysis, and how you work with other teams. They really care about clear thinking, solving problems in a structured way, and being able to explain financial stuff to people who aren't in finance. It's a tough but fair interview, designed to see if you can actually act like a business finance partner in a fast-paced FMCG company.
- Can you introduce yourself and outline your strategies for expense reduction?
- Tell me about yourself and what measures will you take to cut down the expenses.
Management Trainee
The selection process was conducted online, with several stages and various tests. After that, there was a day dedicated to group dynamics, case presentations, and meetings with managers for the final evaluation of the candidates.
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
