& Process

So I had a phone interview first to see if I was even gonna qualify to move on. Then I had a zoom call with HR, and she actually preferred me for her team over what I originally applied for. I was really excited, but then I found out they wanted me to come in person and they were in a different state. By the time we figured all that out, the job I initially applied for was already taken.

I went in for an initial interview, which seemed to go well. The second interview kept getting postponed, but eventually, I had it with the division manager. Unfortunately, he hadn't reviewed my resume and seemed unprepared. He mentioned a decision would be made that week. When Friday passed with no word, I followed up the next week. I was told things were being finalized and they'd call me back. Several weeks went by, and then I saw they had reposted the job. I never heard back from them about whether I got the job or not. Very unprofessional!

The interview process started off a little weird, but things got much better after I spoke with different people and found the right location. It can be a stressful experience with lots of unknowns, but this company's process was a bit odd initially. I wasn't sure what to expect or who I'd be talking to. As I went through the phone screenings and in-person meetings, it started making sense. I talked to several people, and each gave me good info about the company and the job. The interviewers were really understanding and helpful, answering all my questions and concerns, which made me feel more comfortable and let me focus on showing my skills.

I had a phone chat with a recruiting agency where we talked about my experience with design tools and working with engineers, as well as with upper management. They wanted to know how fast I can get new designs updated. They also asked if I could work extra hours or be on-call if needed for project deadlines.
