Behavioral Case

The interview process was quite long and gave me a chance to meet several people on the team. It included a recruiter phone screen, a culture fit chat with a consultant, a behavioral interview with another consultant, and then an in-person interview with three directors.

This job posting seems misleading; it feels like they don't actually have openings but are instead trying to gather information about the Minneapolis market for their own business development. I went through an interview where they mostly asked detailed questions about my current projects and clients, showing little interest in me as a candidate. They claim they're building a talent pipeline for future roles, but based on others' experiences, it sounds more like they're mining the market for business insights rather than genuinely looking to hire.

I had a phone interview that seemed to go well, and the HR director invited me to come in for an interview with the founder. She asked me to suggest a couple of days that worked for me, and I told her the following week would be great. When the next week came, I didn't hear back. I emailed her to follow up, and she replied that it was great to speak with me on a certain day. I could tell it was a copy-paste answer because she got the date wrong. She mentioned they were pausing recruitment until the next week. So, I emailed her the following week to ask about the status. No response. It seems like they are either too busy to check their emails or too unprofessional to reply to candidates. It wasn't a great first impression for a new company.
