First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pepco Holdings.
Business Analyst
The interview was a one-hour panel interview where I had to use the STAR Method. They presented me with a few scenarios and I had to explain what I would do. It was a very direct interview, and the panel got straight to the point. They explained the job before we started, which was helpful for when I usually ask questions at the end.
- Are you familiar with using Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Access?
Marketing Technical Writer
First, I had a phone call with an HR person who asked me some basic stuff, then they set up an in-person interview with the supervisor. That interview was pretty simple, mostly asking about my past internships and what I studied since this is my first job out of college. I also had to do a writing test where I had to create a sample press release and also edit a one-pager. The second interview was with the supervisor and the VP, which was mostly a meet-and-greet.
- Nothing too difficult was asked.
- The questions weren't too difficult.
Attorney
Had a really long phone interview, like an hour. Then a week later, there was a panel interview. They asked me scripted questions about different situations. It was weird because two of the three people interviewing me didn't even work in the office I was applying to. I didn't even get a chance to ask any questions. They offered for me to come back and meet with everyone, but I declined.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Substation Engineer
The hiring process seemed a bit more drawn out than it is supposed to be, but it is not bad. If you fill out an application for a position that you are a fit for, you are more than likely going to receive a call from one of the recruiters in charge of the job. After you pass the phone screen, they will bring you in for an interview.
- Tell me about a time you disagreed with your team's or company's direction and how you handled it.
