The hiring process was pretty standard and got progressively harder. It included an initial phone screen, a technical phone screen, and then an afternoon onsite. The onsite involved technical assessments and cultural fit checks, as well as meeting the team for another cultural evaluation. There were some intense white-boarding sessions where the team discussed best approaches, which revealed some interesting personalities and differing architectural ideas. The onsite lasted most of the afternoon and included meetings with other departments besides the dev team. The company recruiter was great and kept me informed about what to expect at each step.

It took about 2 to 3 weeks from the first interview to get the offer. The interviews were not super technical, but they did verify my resume claims. Cultural fit was also important to them.

First I had to fill out a personality test, then complete a few programming problems, pretty simple (both online). I was then contacted to be interviewed on-site, where I first had in-person interview. After one white board question, I was directed o a video conference room where I talked to a programmer who was located elsewhere. He mostly asked questions about my knowledge and past experience. A few weeks after my on-site interview, I received an e-mail that they weren't interested.
