First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Penumbra.
Manufacturing Engineer
I had a phone screen with a recruiter first. Then, I had another interview on Teams with the manufacturing engineer where we talked about my previous internships and projects.
- Could you elaborate on your responsibilities and accomplishments during your previous internship or job?
Industrial Engineer
The interview process involved two HR screenings, a call with the Manager, a call with the Director, and a five-hour Panel Interview. Following this, I was informed about an additional panel interview because the decision was very close. Despite being tired, I agreed to proceed. This final panel and its questions were identical to the previous one, which felt like a waste of time. The engineers oddly stressed the mundane nature of the job and limited technology use, which seemed like major red flags. Finally, they extended an offer with a base salary 20k below our initial agreement, which I declined immediately. The whole process felt directionless and was a waste of my time.
- What are your basic IE questions and experiences?
Manufacturing Engineer
HR reached out saying the hiring manager liked my resume and wanted to interview me. Later that week, HR followed up about a potential interest in their R&D Engineer I role, and I ended up interviewing for both.
- Can you describe some of the projects listed on your resume?
