The hiring process lasted about a month. It kicked off with a chat with the recruiter. Then, there was a technical discussion and a hands-on lab exercise with the team leads, where I had to show how I troubleshoot and some basic network security attacks. After that, I spoke with the Customer Operations VP. Finally, I had a meeting where they gave me a verbal offer.

First, I had a quick 15-minute chat with HR about my background. It took about a week to hear back. Then, HR scheduled me for a 30-minute Zoom interview with the manager. This interview got rescheduled a few times. When it finally happened, the manager asked me an architecture question. He seemed nice. I waited another two weeks for an update, and when I followed up, I got an automated email saying they'd gone with other candidates. Super frustrating experience!

The interview process started with a phone call from the HR recruiter. Next, there was an online assignment where I had to record non-technical videos using a third-party system. After that, I had two office exams that went okay. When I got to the third part, we immediately started the technical test. Interestingly, the test wasn't related to their product or my knowledge; it was essentially a Google search exam, testing how fast I could Google. During the 90 minutes, two Team Leads sat beside me, mostly on their phones, only looking up occasionally. They didn't ask a single personal question throughout the entire time. The Team Leads were quite rude, and I even had to complain to HR about some comments they made. Honestly, it was probably the worst interview experience I've ever had, and I wouldn't recommend starting a process with them.

Started with a 30 min recruiter screening call, the recruiter was really nice. Then had another 30 min screen with the CF lead and Director, they asked some more technical/behavioral questions and kind of freestyled random q's to dig deeper into what I just mentioned. The next round was a 1 hour hands-on interview where I was given a Kali Linux box and creds to ssh into another Debian machine. I interacted with the box through Zoom and was asked to perform random tasks and explain things. Some of the questions were phrased vaguely and broad on purpose, I think they were trying to gauge how much detail I would provide.
