Manager
I was contacted by a recruiter for a Zoom interview. We scheduled one for the following week, but I had a conflict come up the day before. I tried to reschedule, but the recruiter ghosted me. I had to reach out to the hiring manager directly to get another interview invitation, and the recruiter seemed annoyed. If I hadn't contacted the hiring manager, the recruiter might have even told the hiring manager I skipped the interview. The interview itself was formal, like the recruiter was reading from a script, more for gathering information than a real interview. The recruiter said the hiring manager would reach out the next week if they wanted to move forward, or I'd get a rejection. I got neither. Instead, I got another interview invite from a different recruiter, but they apologized the next day saying it was a mistake, without clarifying if I was still being considered. It was a really disorganized and unprofessional experience. I'm almost glad I didn't get the job because the internal operations might be just as messy.
- Can you tell me about your years of experience in this field?
Manager
It went very well. It was a very simple process and every time I reached out they got back to me right away. The team was friendly and very transparent about what they wanted and what they saw as my potential strengths and weaknesses. It was the first time I decided to be very upfront on what I was bringing and not bringing to the table. That level of transparency seemed to be the charm. I honestly can say it was the smoothest interview process I've ever been through. Not many BS HR questions. Just straight to the point.
- Can you share some of your proudest creations?
Associate Manager
The interview process was great. Lots of communication, I was kept in the loop, and things moved at a good pace. When they said a next step would happen by a certain date, it did. Really enjoyed this experience and found it more professional than many others I've had.
