Community Manager
The interview process is done over the phone or virtually. It starts with an HR Phone Interview, then a Virtual Meeting with the Regional Manager, and finally a Virtual Meeting with the VP of Operations. If you pass these, HR will call you.
- Do you have any industry certifications?
Associate Developer
I went through 4 rounds of interviews for this role. There was a bit of a gap between my third and fourth interviews. The process included a mix of questions about my personality and my technical skills. Overall, I thought it went pretty well.
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next five years?
Leasing Agent
I applied way back in 2014, and then again in March 2015. They made me do a personality test right away. I didn't hear anything until the end of June 2015. They said they'd call to set up an interview, but it didn't get scheduled until mid-July 2015. They told me I'd hear back on Tuesday. I sent a Thank You email, and the HR Manager replied with an email full of spelling mistakes, saying I didn't get the job because of the personality test. It's weird they waited until after the interview to check my results... most places check these before interviewing to save time. I'm not sure if that's the real reason, but be careful. They led me on for ages and then used that as the reason to reject me after a great interview.
- Tell me about your resume.
- Do you have prior leasing experience?
- What are your expectations for this role?
Property Manager
The interview process started with a phone interview, followed by a 1-on-1 interview and then some testing, finally ending with a background check. Negotiating salary was a bit of a challenge as they wanted to pay less than advertised. I spoke to some current employees who mentioned they took the entry-level pay with a promise of an adjustment after 90 days, but HR wouldn't confirm this in writing, which made me a bit uneasy.
- Given my questions about the facility, how could I have known more about the building and its systems than the current staff?
