The interview process was straight forward but this organization seems to really enjoy waisting time. I went through 4 rounds of this interview process... the 4th round consisted of a panel interview and mock discovery call. 4 days later (after receiving positive feedback) the recruiter sends me a generic email stating they moved forward with other candidates. Clearly the team is EXTREMELY UNREALISTIC in their expectations for this role. The review before this one was for the SAME POSITION.

I was initially contacted by a recruiter for a general and friendly chat that lasted about 20 minutes. They asked about my reasons for seeking a new role and my career path. I was also asked about my salary expectations upfront, which was a bit unexpected.

Got an interview invite from the recruiter the day after applying. She gave me feedback right away, which was weird. Still moved to the next round with a new CSM manager. The two people I talked to asked vague questions and wanted super detailed answers. I was pretty burned out, so I know I didn't do my best, and I don't think they did either. They reposted the job, so I guess they aren't finding the right people. But it's not just the candidates; recruiting teams want leaders who don't act like leaders, and then they end up with talkers who can't do technical stuff. I see this with my current employer's customer success and TAM teams. This whole thing taught me I need to recharge before job hunting again. It's early in my search, so not getting an offer isn't a huge deal. The two people I met virtually also seemed burnt out. The job description lists tasks that are easy for me since I've done technical integrations in customer-facing roles at startups. Pendo seems unsure of what they're looking for, making it hard to succeed there.
