So, first there was this screening with a partner, then a deliverable where I had to review one of their potential companies. After that, the final round was supposed to be pitching a company I picked. That seemed to go fine. I waited a week, and then the other partner texted me to set up a call for the next day. I replied fast, but he didn't call. Instead, he called me late at night two days later and asked me to come in for a meeting with their clients the next morning at 9 AM. It was weird, but I did it and it seemed okay. A week later, they said I'd have another "final round" onsite. I was really tired by then but I went. The partner who met me said he hadn't even seen my resume and asked me to start from the beginning, even though he was the one handling all the emails. Then I met Bill, who seemed like the only normal person there. After that was the actual final round with their CSO. He asked me about doing three days in the office and two days remote, which was totally different from what was advertised online. I said I'd think about it if the pay was right and asked about the salary range. He said it "should be on Handshake" but it wasn't. When I told him, he said he couldn't tell me and insisted the range had to be listed somewhere. At that point, I was so over it that I gave a lower salary range than I wanted just to finish it. And then... nothing. They ghosted me. Luckily, it worked out, and I got a much better job somewhere that actually respects people. Don't even waste your time interviewing with them.

The interview process included a first round with the CEO and a subsequent round with the COO. While the interviews themselves happened quickly, concluding within a week, the initial screening phase took over two weeks to complete. The interviews were of varying lengths, one being 30 minutes and the other an hour.
- Can you tell me why you decided to apply for this specific position at our company?
Business Development Manager
The interview process started with a first interview with the CEO. After he explained the company, he asked personal questions like marital status, if I have kids, and why I came to the US. This felt uncomfortable, unprofessional, and discriminatory. He also asked about my previous job's compensation to determine my desired salary, which is illegal in California. I was then offered a position different from the one I applied for, with a lower salary. They mentioned another interview with the COO and possibly an onsite interview. The next interview was with a manager, not the COO, who was more professional. I was told another onsite interview would follow, but it never happened, and I suddenly received an offer letter with a very low salary for the Bay Area. When I tried to negotiate, the COO called and told me I was unqualified for the negotiated amount. They never stated their offer, only spoke condescendingly about my lack of experience, making me question why they offered me the job in the first place. The company seems unaligned, with scattered communication, and they don't value employees or candidates. It's a huge red flag, avoid if possible.
- How do you approach overcoming challenges?
Marketing Director
I interviewed for a Marketing Director role and the process felt disorganized. It involved several interviews and an in-person meeting with the CEO where an unexpected person joined. The role itself was unclear, with no definition of what this hire was supposed to achieve, and the position had been open for a long time without clear direction. The CEO showed me articles about himself, asked me to use his phone to ask ChatGPT the company's ranking, and claimed they were the top 'VC-as-a-service' firm. He also mentioned an associate with a 170 IQ, comparing them to Einstein, and stated this person makes most key decisions. At that point, I lost interest, but I never heard back, and the role is still open. I'd advise caution, as it seems shady.
