I had my interview with the hiring panel yesterday. I am waiting for a call back to "Receive feedback from your interview and go from there." I'm not sure if that's code for not interested. The recruiter was great and very positive, and seemed impressed with my skills and experience. I had a 30-minute call with the recruiter, then I was told to take a 2-hour test on Microsoft Office Suite 2007. I then had another 30-minute interview where I was told I did extremely well on the test, and she scheduled me for an interview with the hiring panel. I was also told to send an example of my work in PowerPoint and Excel. The panel interview was yesterday and I'm anxiously waiting. I'll update if I hear back.

The initial phone screen was pretty good, just a normal chat. They scheduled a follow-up interview quickly. Unfortunately, because of unexpected stuff, I couldn't meet the people I was supposed to interview with. My main contact was also late, leaving me waiting in the hallway outside the office with no access. I rang the doorbell several times, but no one answered. The person I did get to speak with in the Chicago office hadn't been told about a potential interview that day and wasn't ready, which wasn't her fault. The HR rep I was dealing with actually said, "let me see if I can find someone to talk to you." This whole situation left a bad impression. Additionally, the HR rep told me about the office's systems and procedures, which I had experience with, only for the interviewer to later reveal that all the information I was given was incorrect. This whole process seemed disorganized, and based on just that one interview, I'd be hesitant to work there.

It was a three-part process. First, I talked to the HR Coordinator at corporate, who went over the job basics and then emailed me some info about the company to check out. She asked if I wanted to set up an interview, and we did that quickly. Then, I interviewed with the Practice Manager, and the day after that, I had a second interview with the Practice Director. The people were great and the whole process was really smooth and professional, making me feel comfortable.
