Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Peak Health Solutions.
Medical Coder
It was a very detailed process. I first talked to the recruiter, and then I had an interview with a manager. She told me about her role and then asked me about my experience. After that, there were several questions about my home office setup and more in-depth questions about my experience. She let me ask a lot of questions at the end.
- What aspect of coding do you find most enjoyable?
- Which part of coding do you like the least?
Medical Coder
The initial interview was with talent acquisition, and they asked relevant questions about my career and showed immediate understanding of my field, including salary expectations. This is unusual for a first contact. After I passed an assessment, I then spoke with my potential supervisor. I was really impressed by how nice and respectful everyone was throughout the process. A major reason I preferred this company was their flexibility with work hours and their genuine consideration for a new hire's needs and ability to accommodate them.
- Could you tell me about the different types of accounts you have experience coding?
Medical Coder
It was a chill but professional vibe. They really wanted to dig into the details of your experience and how you handle changes. You start by chatting with the recruiting team about your background and skills, and they see if your personality clicks. If that goes well, you then talk with the director of HR, and if they think you're a good fit, you'll have a final interview with the person in charge of hiring for HIM.
- Can you tell me about the kinds of charts you've coded before?
