Project Manager
This interview process was really bad and chaotic. It makes me wonder what it would be like to work there. I'd suggest not applying. Some people can work remote, but others have to come in person. Based on what I've seen, it seems like no one gets an offer.
- Just a waste of my time.
- The interviewer seemed unqualified.
Program Assistant
I applied online and someone reached out about a week later for a first phone chat. Booking it was easy. It was supposed to be 15 mins but went longer, like 30-35 mins. We talked about my background, how it fits the job, and what I'm looking for. Then, 2-3 days after that, they invited me for an in-person interview the next week. This was a pretty long one, about 2.5-3 hours, meeting with the team (Program Officers, Assistant Director, etc.). It was actually pretty fun and engaging, having 30-minute chats with groups of 2-3 people at a time. I also met with HR at the very end to cover general stuff and they said I'd hear back in about a week for a decision.
- Could you describe your experience with data and if you're familiar with tools like Excel or STATA?
- Please discuss your background and how it aligns with the requirements of this role.
- What are your thoughts on dealing with ambiguity and thriving in a fast-paced setting?
Project Assistant
I applied on their website and after about 3 weeks of no response, I had pretty much forgotten about it. Then, I was contacted and had a phone screen with someone from HR, followed by a conversation with the hiring manager who would be my direct supervisor.
- What makes you want to join PCORI?
