Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PCORI.
Intern
So, about four people interviewed me, they took turns asking questions, and it was about an hour long. They were really nice, and it didn't feel intimidating at all. I didn't get an offer or any word back after the interview, though. But the work they do is super inspiring, so I'd totally recommend this company.
- Could you elaborate on your experiences and the projects you've worked on, and also explain your interest in our company?
Intern
The interview process started with a recruiter phone screening. The next week, I had a panel interview with 3 team members. It felt like a typical interview, but they were very stoic and didn't react much to my answers, and the questions were repetitive. After the interview, the recruiter sent an application for references. It's been about a month with no response, even after a follow-up email, so I think I was ghosted.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What is your motivation for applying to PCORI and this role?
- Could you describe a project you worked on in detail?
Intern
So after you apply, you get an email from HR about a quick phone chat. The person interviewing me was super nice and asked basic stuff about me and what the job is. If you pass that, you go in for two interviews at the office. The first one is with the team you'd be on (your boss and coworkers will be there) and the second is with HR. They'll email you pretty soon after if you got the job.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in working at PCORI?
