Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PCL Construction.
Project Manager
The interview started with standard HR questions from the HR representative. This was followed by a few job-specific questions from the manager. We discussed my past experiences, briefly went over the daily duties of the position, and the company's history. Overall, it was a very casual interview.
- Can you tell me about yourself, your background, and your past experiences?
Project Superintendent
The interview process was pretty standard. Started with a phone interview, then moved on to a face-to-face meeting. After that, they told me they liked me and were going to prepare the paperwork. I waited a week with no updates on the paperwork. Someone dropped the ball, and since the offer was $20,000 less than I'm currently making, I declined. I wasn't impressed that they promised paperwork and then nothing for over a week.
- Can you describe the most challenging aspect of your current project?
Project Manager
It was a pretty standard interview process. Started with an HR call, then a construction manager interview. Nothing too difficult. They seemed really keen on bringing in new people and were eager to have me join. That's about all I can say.
- Can you discuss your prior experience?
- What attracts you to this position?
