It was a 30-minute video call, and they mainly asked me about my resume and some behavioral questions. The interviewer also asked about my background and personal interests outside of my career.

Behavioral

PCL is a general contractor that's growing a lot in the U.S. market and seems to have a different, less ego-driven approach than most U.S. contractors. My interview was casual, like a conversation. The interviewer gave me positive feedback, saying I was 'on the top of my list.' However, about a month later, I got a rejection letter saying they wouldn't decide for another 3 months. My peers were told the same but got rejections sooner. PCL then called some of those peers, after the three months, who had already been rejected. It was a strange process. I like PCL, but their hiring practices don't seem to match their business quality.

First, I talked with the HR director, and then a few days later I interviewed with a Construction Manager. Each took less than an hour. It was a chill interview process, and they asked stuff like why I want the job, why I'm a good fit, and what I'd do in different construction-related scenarios. After that, there was a drug test.
