The interview process took quite some time actually, I applied via their official website in July, and about a month later a staff contacted me via a phone call and asked if I was still available for job opportunities, and scheduled a written test for me in the following week. The written test had two parts: an aptitude test with IQ-like questions (e.g., counting boxes in a graph, finding the next digit in a sequence) and a language test involving reading comprehension and translation. The written tests took about 2 hours. About a week later, another staff called to inform me that I passed the written test and it was time for the next round. I submitted my academic documents, and two weeks after that, an offer was given via email. I went to their HQ in BFS two weeks after the written test for an interview that had two parts: a group discussion with 6 candidates about IT-related issues and products, where the interviewer remained silent, and immediately after, a panel interview with 1-3 mid-level managers and tech leads. The interviewers asked casual questions, emphasizing confidence and comfort over model answers. On the same day after the interview, I received a call from HR saying I passed all interviews and they wanted to proceed with the next step.

The first interview included several written tests: Chinese, English, AP test, personality test, and a technical test. The technical test focused on computer network and telecommunication knowledge. The second interview was a group interview where we played games. The key was to appear cooperative and friendly. The final interview was one-on-one with an HR manager and two team managers. They asked for self-introductions in English and about strengths/weaknesses. My tip is to check out the PCCW and HKT websites beforehand and use that info in your answers.

The interview was pretty chill, with 3 senior engineers and 1 HR. It started with a 1-minute self-intro in English, followed by a group discussion on a "plan-do-check-adjust" topic. Then, we did a group presentation. After that, they asked some general questions about my studies and experiences. They also gave an introduction about the company and the graduate trainee scheme, and finished with a Q&A. No technical questions were asked.
