Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PCA.
Software Engineer Intern
It was one 40 minute round. They asked a lot of general technical questions about my projects and experience, and also talked about my resume. They asked me to 'Tell me about yourself?' and 'Why PCA?'. Also, be ready for OOP concepts and basic questions like the difference between a class and an object.
- Could you tell me about yourself and explain your interest in joining PCA?
Software Engineer
The interview process varied slightly by location, but the questions were generally consistent. It felt more like a relaxed conversation than a high-pressure interview. It's a good idea to prepare some questions to ask the interviewer about the company or the role itself.
- Can you tell me about a challenging situation where you applied your problem-solving abilities?
Software Engineer
The interview started 10 minutes late on Teams, and both the HR and Engineering people seemed uninterested. Given that and the tricky questions, I don't think I did well.
- Were you ever late for work?
- Describe a situation where you spoke up and successfully changed something at work.
