Technical Coding Behavioral

I interviewed for Paytm Money on April 27, 2019, at their Koramangala office. The process had 4 rounds. I felt the first round went well and I got selected for the second round. I had mentioned upfront that while I didn't have hands-on API testing experience, I had good knowledge in that area. In the next round, I answered all questions, wrote Java code, and automation code, which I thought was fine. However, the feedback was that I lacked API testing experience and my Java knowledge wasn't as strong as expected for my experience level, which I found unfair given my performance. It seems like the interviewers are more focused on rejecting candidates than selecting them. I spent the entire day there, arriving around 11 AM and finishing the second round by 5:30 PM, with a long wait in between. I wouldn't recommend this company just for its name; it's a waste of time with no learning during the interview.

Technical Coding

The selection process has 3 rounds. Day 1 was an online test on HackerRank with 17 questions (15 MCQs and 2 Coding Problems). You only needed to solve at least 1 coding problem to pass. Day 2 was a Technical Interview where some questions were asked (listed below). Day 3 was also a Technical Interview, and it seemed like it would be the last round. However, before the interview started, I got an email from HR saying it was canceled. The next day, I received another email stating I didn't clear the interview.

Confirmed questions3 questions

  • What distinguishes Abstraction from Encapsulation?
  • Can you provide examples illustrating Abstraction and Encapsulation?
