Had an HR screening call that lasted about 15 minutes. After that, there was a 45-minute online coding interview. It was meant to be a code review, but they ended up asking general questions about DB, SQL, LINQ, services, and more. The interviewer had the answers written down and would correct me by reading the 'official' answer, even if mine was similar. A few days later, I got an email saying I didn't get the job because I lacked knowledge. Supposedly, the next steps were a 90-minute in-person coding and design interview, followed by interviews with HR and the group manager.

Confirmed questions7 questions
  • Can you tell me about databases?
  • What do you know about SQL?
  • Do you have experience with LINQ?

The interview process was pretty okay. Started with an HR screening and a general tech screen. Then, there was a coding challenge on Geektastic, which was fairly straightforward if you're solid on the basics. They also asked some questions about fixing bugs and reviewing code. After that, I had a chat with the Hiring Manager. This one was kinda 'meh' because he seemed rushed and uninterested in getting to know me. The questions felt like they were just being read off a list, and he didn't seem technical. Next up was a round with an architect, which turned out to be a great discussion about architecture problems and current industry trends, which was a plus. The last round was with leadership, an Engineering Director in my case, and it was decent. However, the worst part of the whole experience was definitely the HR and company policies. I did get a job offer, but it was a really lowball offer because I'm based in a country with a lower cost of living. The offer process itself moved at a snail's pace, and I couldn't accept their offer.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Geektastic challenge was given, with questions on bug fixing, code review, and general standard practices to verify your coding experience.
