Business Analyst
This was the worst interview experience ever! It started with a casual intro call where they asked about my expected pay and similar things. Their initial response time was great but it slowed down as things went on for over 3 months. After the intro, I had a technical round with a Lead BA who then gave me an assignment. Then, the Lead BA and HR had a conference call with me to explain the role better. I thought it was almost over, but then they asked me to travel to Coimbatore for a face-to-face with the VP for the final discussion, and I had to pay for it myself. I told them I couldn't unless they covered travel costs, which they declined. So, I stayed put. Then, they asked me to meet someone face-to-face in my city. I traveled for 2 hours for a quick 10-minute techno-casual chat. Again, it took a long time to get feedback. Later, in the second month, after more rounds, we discussed CTC. They rescheduled the CTC discussion three times before it finally happened. I remained calm, thinking this was the final stage. It took another month to hear back from HR, even with daily follow-ups because I was referred by a friend. When HR finally called, they said there was no opening in that team but didn't want to lose me and offered a spot on another team, which sounded good. However, I had to go through the interview process all over again. I figured it would take another 2 months. When it came to CTC again, the offer was shockingly low (~12% hike). I negotiated back and forth, and they finally said they couldn't offer more. Given I'd have to leave my family, travel to a city not beneficial for me, get such a small hike, and face a 3-month notice period from my stable MNC job, I declined the offer. I expected more from Payoda and am disappointed that industry standards weren't met after my 10+ years in the field.

Business Analyst
I had an interview that started with a recruiter call, then moved to a one-on-one session where we discussed my last project, the fundamentals of being an analyst, and the step-by-step process of a previous project. The whole thing was pretty smooth, and I got the offer on the same day.
- Can you elaborate on your most recent project?
- Could you explain the essential aspects of an analyst's role?
- Please guide me through the detailed process of a past project you worked on.
Business Analyst
The interview process was well organized and I was informed in advance about the timing and the interviewer's name. It consisted of 5 rounds: 2 technical/functional rounds with managers, 2 discussions with the management team, and 1 with HR. There were a couple of postponements, but they were for valid reasons. The whole process took about 2 weeks. I could reach the HR for updates, and they also provided updates after each round. The interviews followed a hierarchical structure, starting with technical/functional rounds, moving to discussions with management, and concluding with the HR discussion.
- They were trying to understand my daily activities and work.
- They wanted to know how good I am at providing quick feasible solutions.
- They assessed my analytical and reasoning skills.
