First, I had a 30-minute phone chat with a recruiter where we talked about me, the open positions, and the company. They also asked a basic tech question about APIs. Then, a staff engineer conducted a 1-hour technical interview, which was surprisingly enjoyable and well-structured. Next, I had a 1-hour behavior interview with the hiring manager. After that, I had to choose between an online coding challenge or a home project. I opted for the home project. The next step was another 1-hour technical interview with two engineers where I had to go over my home project line by line. Finally, there was a 1-hour design interview with one engineer.

They reached out to me for this role. Initially, communication was good, but during the interviews, they asked me why I was looking to switch jobs. After the interviews, it went silent for about 6 weeks, and then I got a generic email saying I wasn't selected. It was obvious they weren't going to pick me when they stopped responding. It left a bad impression because I'm a professional and can handle rejection; I just wish they had responded sooner saying they went with another candidate.

I got a pretty long Hackerrank, but it wasn't too bad except for 2 questions. When I interviewed with them, it was an hour long. The first 30 minutes the interviewer went over my Hackerrank, specifically the 2 questions I didn't do well on. He also asked a lot about object oriented programming. For the last 30 minutes, it was behavioral, and the interviewer was very chill and asked a couple of questions. They ended up sending the rejection email out 3 weeks later (me and my friend who also interviewed opened up it at the same time).
