I applied online and got an email the same day for a phone screen, which I scheduled for the next week. I talked to the recruiter, who was friendly and seemed really enthusiastic about me. Even though I applied for a different role, the recruiter thought I'd be a better fit for another opening, and I agreed. After our chat, I had 48 hours to finish a simple literacy test that took about 20 minutes. Once I completed it, they reached out to set up a Zoom meeting with the hiring team. This meeting happened a bit over a week later. The team was great to talk to, really laid-back and welcoming. They asked standard behavioral questions – pretty much what you'd find if you googled 'behavioral interview questions'. It felt pretty straightforward, but I didn't feel like my experience was really leveraged because the questions didn't seem to relate much to the actual job.

I talked to a recruiter first who was great, we talked about my background, experience, and the Paylocity story. Then I had a phone interview with a director. After that, I took an assessment. This was followed by an in-person interview with a director. Then there was a really thorough background check. Finally, I got the offer. The whole thing took about a month.

It started with an Open House event, followed by a few Zoom interviews. After that, there was a really simple onboarding process. Everything was done online, and they shipped equipment right after I was hired.
