The interview process felt pretty standard for the manager role. I felt ready for it and nothing seemed unusual. They laid out what they were looking for in a clear way. They also had time for me to ask any questions I had.

Behavioral Case Presentation

When I first arrived at the store, I was greeted warmly and asked if I needed assistance, which gave me a great first impression. I spoke with the Assistant Manager informally for a few minutes, which served as my initial interview. After completing the online application, I followed up daily via phone and visited the store every other day. About a week later, I had a formal interview with the Assistant Manager. I dressed professionally in slacks and a long-sleeved dress shirt. It's important to be presentable, confident, and articulate complete thoughts. Being prepared with answers is key to avoid hesitant responses. A week after that, I interviewed with the Store Manager. I wasn't fully prepared for this part. The attire was the same, and it was important to make a good impression, smile, greet everyone, and be friendly. Things were going well until the manager suggested role-playing. Since I wasn't as outgoing then as I am now, practicing different role-playing scenarios beforehand is crucial. I ended up doing well and got the job. The whole process was a bit long, taking about three weeks from the first interview to my start date, mainly because my drug test results were delayed.

It was pretty easy and quick, they were looking for personable people and I was a good fit. They asked if I had experience, which I didn't, but they liked that I went to college and hired me on the spot.
