It was a call, they asked me about my availability and how I would approach customers. They also went over my shift availabilities and explained the pay and how commissions worked. It was pretty friendly and not too difficult.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was pretty straightforward, though it took weeks for HR to get back to me about an interview, and I'd honestly forgotten about the application by then. During the interview itself, I was already nervous because I know how fashion retail managers can seem friendly but are actually assessing you in an unstructured way. On top of that, they asked about my age, which I found unnecessary and odd since I've never been asked that before and don't think it should matter for employment. I left feeling pretty hopeless, like I'd just wasted everyone's time.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process took a while. First, I had a phone interview with HR, then another HR interview over Skype that covered the same ground. Lastly, I met with the store manager. When I got to the store, there was a weird vibe because another staff member made a comment about me. It really didn't feel like Paul Smith's usual style, which is usually more playful. The whole thing made me feel unwelcome and didn't meet my expectations. I felt like it was a waste of my time.
