First, there was a phone screening to go over some basic background info, then a technical interview on Zoom covering HTTP, SQL, and coding problem-solving. After that was an onsite interview where I met the team and discussed my previous experience. Finally, there were reference checks. It was a pretty straightforward process. The recruiter was fantastic.

The interview process was pretty standard. It started with 3 technical rounds: one screening and two one-on-one interviews via Zoom. I successfully passed all of these. However, I was really let down by the final round, which they called the 'top grading round'. I was rejected in this stage without any solid feedback, and then they just ghosted me. Later, I found out through my referral that I didn't get the job. They didn't even bother to give me feedback even after I followed up multiple times.

Technical Coding Behavioral

The interview process was a complete disappointment. It dragged on for over three months, with three rounds—two technical and one top-grading. Despite receiving excellent feedback after each round, my offer was ultimately rejected by the CEO for some inexplicable reason. To make matters worse, the company didn’t even bother to inform me of their decision—I had to chase HR myself to get any feedback. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable and shows a complete disregard for candidates’ time and effort. My advice: Do not rely on just one company, no matter how positive the feedback seems. Their decision-making process is painfully slow and heavily dependent on their American headquarters, which often makes arbitrary decisions. Save yourself the frustration by applying to other places simultaneously.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Problem-solving question, a SQL query, and a few experience-related questions.
  • Fundamental computer science concepts, Ruby on Rails-specific questions, and designing a database schema with validations.
