We started with a screening call, then had a zoom interview, and followed up with an in-person interview. After that, they requested three references from my previous three jobs and contacted them to ask questions.

The hiring process for the Creative Project Manager role at Pattern was quite frustrating and disorganized. It started with an initial HR call, then a technical interview, after which I was shortlisted. The cultural fit interview with the director seemed to go well, and I thought I was moving forward. However, after giving my references, the reference check took a very long time, and I had to ask for updates multiple times. After waiting for several weeks, I was told my application was declined because of issues with the reference feedback, which was unexpected since my references all gave positive feedback. The biggest issue was the lack of communication throughout the nearly six-week process. I never got proactive updates from HR and had to chase them for vague and incomplete answers. I expected better from a company focused on innovation. The role and company looked good, but the unprofessional and uncommunicative hiring process was a big letdown. Pattern should really improve how they communicate with candidates, their timelines, and their feedback system for a better experience.

Behavioral Technical Case

I went through the hiring process for a Creative Project Manager role at Pattern, and it was pretty disappointing. It started with an HR call, then a technical interview, and I got shortlisted. The cultural fit interview with the director was good, and I thought I was moving on. But then, after I gave my references, the reference check took forever, and I had to chase them for updates. After weeks of waiting, they told me I didn't get the job because of an issue with the reference feedback, which was weird because my references said they gave positive feedback. The biggest thing was the lack of communication. I was in the process for almost six weeks, and the HR team never gave me proactive updates. I had to keep asking for information and only got vague answers, which was super frustrating. For a company that talks about innovation, I expected a much more organized and clear process. The role and company seemed good, but the unprofessionalism and poor communication during hiring really let me down. They should really improve their candidate communication, timelines, and feedback system for future applicants.
