Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pattern.
Customer Service Representative
The interview process was great! The response time to move on to the next steps was quick. Everyone was so nice and friendly. I was able to get questions answered. There was a little miscommunication with setting up one of the interviews and Pattern did a great job at resolving it and making that step not stressful.
- How would you handle a difficult customer?
Customer Care Specialist
The first step was a 30-minute phone call, but honestly, the interviewer seemed totally fake and didn't care at all. It was rough because my ten years of experience didn't seem to matter to them, and they were only offering $20/hour. After the call, they just ghosted me – no follow-up, no feedback, nothing. The whole process felt really unprofessional and cold, like they didn't care about my experience as a candidate. As a company that's growing, you'd think they'd want to build good relationships with people applying, right? How can they expect to get good people if they don't even make the hiring process good? It's pretty straightforward: value your candidates and treat them well if you want to be successful. A hiring process that shows you care really helps build trust and brings in the talent you need.
- Can you share details about your background?
- Walk me through your experience.
- What drives your motivation for this role?
Customer Care Specialist
The first 30-minute phone call felt really fake and uncaring. It was disappointing that my 10 years of experience didn't matter to them, and they only offered $20/hour. After that call, it was total ghosting - no communication or feedback. The whole process felt sloppy and uncaring, leaving me indifferent. A growing company should want to build relationships with potential hires and attract talent with a good candidate experience. To be successful, you need to value and respect candidates. A caring hiring process builds trust and attracts talent.
- Can you tell me about your professional background?
- What drives your interest in this position?
