So, the interview process is based on the WHO method. First, there's a screening interview to see if you meet the basic qualifications. Then, the WHO Interview, where we go through your past experiences chronologically to spot successful patterns. After that, the Focus Interview, which is a deeper dive into specific skills and results for this role. Lastly, a Reference Interview with your former colleagues or managers to confirm your performance and get more info on your strengths and weaknesses.

The interview process included two phone screens and two Zoom interviews. First, a phone screen with a Senior Brand Manager. Second, a phone screen with the Director of Brand Management. Third, a joint Zoom interview with two Senior Brand Managers. Fourth, a Zoom interview with the Director of Brand Management, who would be my direct manager. HR was also in communication throughout the process. I liked how HR kept things moving smoothly and on time.

I applied directly and then HR reached out to set up interviews. The whole thing was quicker than I expected. First was just HR, then a quick assessment from the hiring team. The assessment had two tasks that involved solving problems for current clients. They asked for a few slides, but the tasks were pretty tough. The second stage was the only time I met the hiring team, which felt a little strange. It lasted an hour and they asked a lot of questions. After that, I heard nothing for over two months, which really surprised me because I thought Pattern would have a more professional hiring process. It honestly felt like they were just getting free work from candidates since the tasks were about real client issues. It was a pretty negative experience.
