Sales Development Representative
I submitted my application and then had to do a 3-5 minute video introducing myself and explaining my interest. Then, I had a 30 minute call with Julianna, the recruiter. Following that, I interviewed with two sales managers. The last interview was with the Head of Sales. They used the STAR method and I was really impressed with how well they communicated. The team was super responsive to any questions I had. They really took the time to get to know me.
- Can you tell me about a time you failed and how you got past it?
- What does Grit mean to you and can you give an example of when you've demonstrated it?
- What feedback would your current manager give you about areas for improvement?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It began with an initial call, followed by an onsite interview with two managers and a VP. I noticed the two managers had a history of job hopping, frequently changing companies every year or two, which raised concerns about the organization's leadership. The VP, while knowledgeable, came across as condescending and insincere. A friend who previously worked there had also advised against interviewing due to poor management and compensation significantly below industry standards. It might be a suitable starting point for a new college graduate living at home, but it doesn't seem ideal for a long-term career.
- Can you share an instance where you faced a challenge in your current role?
Sales Development Representative
I applied for this job and others at the company through their online portal. I didn't hear back for about a month because they were relocating and just setting up this team. So, I reached out to the recruiters on LinkedIn and set up a phone interview for the next day. The phone interview was pretty standard. After that, I was invited for an on-site interview which had multiple parts and lasted about 1 to 1.5 hours, including a tour of their cool office. All the interviewers seemed pretty sure they wanted to hire me. You'll know if you have a chance when you leave. It was a good, tough experience. Just know that they're really picky, so if you get an offer, you did great.
- Can you share an instance where you faced and overcame a difficult situation?
