Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Patientco.
Software Engineer
After giving them my resume at a career fair, someone reached out to me. The first step was a 30 minute phone call to screen if I would be interested. I told them a little bit about me and answered some random behavioral questions. Then, I had a 3 hour in person interview. This consisted of an hour of behavior stuff and 2 hours of technical skills, where I had to answer 4 coding questions in java and 1 in sql.
- Joining two tables was the SQL question asked. Help was provided when needed.
Software Engineer
Because I lived out of state I had to do several phone interviews. I spoke with the recruiter once before speaking briefly with the team lead, where we spoke about the technologies that they were using. Afterwards I came on site and had interviews with most of the team. These interviews were pretty in-depth from a technical and social perspective. The on site lasted from about 9am to 1pm.
- How would you design the infrastructure for this application?
Software Engineer
This company has a pretty ridiculous interview process, it ended up taking me like 5 hours. They said they wanted someone with 'more experience' even though my resume was accurate. I don't know why they interviewed me for so long or even brought me in if that was the case. They should really streamline their process and screen candidates better. Also, they need to respect people's time, especially with Atlanta traffic.
- I wish they would have asked if I'd be willing to drive north on 400 at 5pm, because I would have said 'no'.
