First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Patientco.
Customer Service Advocate
It was a behavioral interview. They asked a lot of questions and were very thorough and informative. They answered all my questions without hesitation. They also showed me a product demo that visually broke down the product's key components. The people were extremely nice, and the questions were not easy. I had to think carefully about each answer, breaking it down step by step. Even if the outcome wasn't always positive, I could show how I would try to improve things.
- Can you describe a time you had to deal with an angry customer?
Financial Operations Associate
I was referred by someone internal. The recruiter reached out and scheduled my first call. Then I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, I was sent a writing prompt to complete. The next step was an in-person interview that lasted about 4 hours, with 1:1s and some simple paper assessments. Everyone was really nice and accommodating.
- What qualities do you seek in a manager?
- Describe a situation where you received constructive criticism and how you responded.
Business Development
I got to meet the whole crew since it was a new company back then. It was great to get a feel for where they wanted to steer the business, the specific contributions of each team member, and what they envisioned for my part in it. It was clear that a strong cultural alignment was super important. I really liked that they spent extra time with me to figure out if we were a good match.
- What makes you want to join a startup or a new company?
Software Engineer
This company has a pretty ridiculous interview process, it ended up taking me like 5 hours. They said they wanted someone with 'more experience' even though my resume was accurate. I don't know why they interviewed me for so long or even brought me in if that was the case. They should really streamline their process and screen candidates better. Also, they need to respect people's time, especially with Atlanta traffic.
- I wish they would have asked if I'd be willing to drive north on 400 at 5pm, because I would have said 'no'.
