Software Engineer Intern
They will look at your resume, ask some behavioral questions, and technical questions about your projects. Be real, they know you're looking for an internship. If you get an interview, make sure to tailor your answers to what they're looking for in the job description.
- Can you tell us about your experience at ___?
Software Engineer
The interview process started with a recruiter phone screening. After that, there were two more interviews. One was with the hiring manager, and the other was with the manager along with the team lead. Both of these were pretty relaxed and conversational, mainly focused on getting to know each other. There weren't a lot of technical questions asked.
- Could you share some details about your background?
Software Developer
A recruiter reached out, and I was given a few job titles to pick from. After a couple of follow-ups and one reschedule, I had my technical phone interviews. The interview was split into two parts: live coding and general questions. I was caught off guard by the coding part since I wasn't expecting it and wasn't prepared. I had to talk on the phone while using someone else's laptop and an online notepad. I was so flustered that I struggled with the problem. The second part went better, but both interviewers seemed uninterested, like they didn't want to be there. One interviewer sounded like they were eating or distracted. I didn't complete the security forms, which I assume is why they didn't proceed, along with my poor performance in the first stage.
- Can you check if a statement has valid parentheses, like a compiler would?
- What are the time complexities for various Data Structures?
- Can you tell me about your background?
