Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Parsons Corporation.
Contracts Manager
I found out during the first phone chat that the salary range they advertised wasn't the real one, and it was way less than what they posted. You should totally steer clear of them because they post misleading stuff.
- Were you willing to substantially reduce your salary demands?
Subcontract Administrator
It was a pretty casual phone interview, and the person I spoke with was really nice and seemed genuine. They asked a lot of technical stuff about government contracting and subcontracts, plus some questions about how I'd deal with different scenarios.
- Can you tell me about a challenging situation you faced and how you managed it?
- Describe your experience with technical aspects of government procurement.
- How familiar are you with the technicalities of government subcontracting?
Contract Administrator
They asked questions about working with Federal and commercial contracts, and also about prior experience with foreign vendors. They asked questions about FAR, DFARS and contract law. They also asked for background information, along with work and family details. The questions weren't too difficult, mostly just contracting questions.
- How would you apply progress schedules to construction contracts?
