First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Parsons Corporation.
Engineer
I saw this job posting and decided to apply. I interviewed in the office a while back. It went pretty well. The person interviewing me was professional and walked me through what the job entails. They asked about my skills, and it was pretty straightforward, no tricky questions.
- Can you tell me about the requirements for this position?
- Could you describe your background and relevant skills?
Engineering Co-Op
The interview process was straightforward and professional. After submitting my application, I was contacted by HR for a brief phone screening focused on my background and interest in the role. This was followed by a technical interview with a panel of engineers who asked practical, project-based questions and assessed my problem-solving approach. The overall tone was supportive, and they provided clear expectations about the role and work environment.
- Can you share an example of a difficult engineering challenge you faced and your method for overcoming it?
- Could you talk about a project where you utilized engineering principles to address a practical issue?
Senior Design Engineer
Elementary level questions were asked to a senior water engineer, which should have been asked to a junior design engineer. The questions were asked by their senior engineers. Their senior engineer said during the interview the candidate is not a good engineer (pathetic).
- What method do you utilize for storm water design?
- Regarding pipe material, what do you use?
- What about pipe thickness, what do you use?
