The interview process included a recruiter call, a technical screen, and an onsite interview. Questions covered professional achievements, skill development and application, and handling professional failures and learnings.

First, there was a screening call with the recruiter, who was super friendly and made me feel confident. They even explained why I was selected, which was a big confidence boost. The next interview was with a secondary manager for the team I might join. We talked about the technologies I know and what I'm interested in learning, which felt a bit different, like they already expected me to join, which I saw as a good thing. The final interview was with the main manager who is in charge of several teams, including the one I'd be on. They were incredibly nice and it felt like a chat about the future of tech and my own future and goals in the industry. They also shared details about their tech stack. The recruiter emailed the next day to set up a call. She then called and offered me the position! The offer was a bit lower than I anticipated based on my previous internship, but still good, and I really appreciated everyone involved in the process and felt good about it, so I accepted.

My interview experience with CBS Interactive went from great to terrible very quickly. The recruiter was incredibly disrespectful, which was a first for me. Initially, everything was positive: the recruiter call, the phone screen with the tech lead, and the onsite interviews with the team were all very smooth and pleasant. I was really looking forward to an offer. However, the offer was for less than my expected salary, with no negotiation. Since it was a remote role, there were no relocation or sign-on bonuses, and the offered shares were very low. I was given only 3 days to accept, which felt very rushed. As the deadline approached, the recruiter's attitude completely changed and became quite rude. The day after I accepted, I received another offer with a significantly higher compensation. I tried to professionally communicate my decision to decline their offer, but the recruiter became extremely aggressive and insulted my other potential employer. Despite my efforts to maintain professionalism, the interaction ended poorly.
