Executive Assistant
this was an incredibly and unnecessarily long process for an entry level role, even with my resume passed along to the hiring manager, i still had 7 rounds of interviews with the team over the course of 2.5 months. i was also asked strange questions.
- How would your friends describe you?
- What brings you happiness?
- Can you share a campaign that caught your attention?
Executive Assistant
Online application, it was pretty quick and average difficulty. Then there was a phone interview, which was friendly and involved getting to know you and discussing salary expectations. After that, you meet part of your potential team for a team interview, where they ask about your past work experience, work style, and work chemistry. Finally, there's a one-on-one interview that's basically a 'can you do the job' interview where you also get to see if you want the job.
- Can you describe your experience with computers and technology?
Executive Assistant
I reached out to a connection I had at the company about the job opening after I submitted my application. HR got in touch with me and we had an initial chat. They then set up interviews for me with all three principals in the department, and they all seemed pretty optimistic. After that, I heard nothing. My follow-up emails went unanswered. Then, they re-posted the job. I didn't receive any communication about them choosing other candidates. It appears ghosting is a common hiring practice now.
- How would you manage unexpected adjustments to the schedule?
