Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Paramount Pictures.
Intern
It was a 3 round process with 2 behaviorals, it was thorough yet efficient, and they had good communication and free-flowing conversations. Technicals focused on explaining my resume background and key experiences. Behaviorals depended on the role and included a brief overview of tools, programming languages, and projects I have worked on, as well as challenges, career pivots, and more informal short answer questions.
- Regarding your experience with xyz, could you elaborate on it? What was the tech stack involved, and what led to your decision to use it?
Intern
I had two interviews that were pretty conversational. They mostly asked me about my past experiences and explained the role to me. They also asked about specific times. It was a virtual interview and overall a good experience. I had time to ask questions at the end, but the conversation flowed so well that there wasn't much to ask.
- Can you share a challenging work experience and what you learned from it?
Intern
So it was like 2 interviews, 30 mins each. The first was with 2 people from the team, and the second one was with the team lead. Mostly behavioral stuff, they really wanted to dive deep into my resume and my past experiences that are relevant to this role. They barely asked any technical questions.
- Can you describe a recent project you worked on?
