Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Paramount Pictures.
Financial Analyst
Had an initial chat with the recruiter. They asked some general stuff about why I'm interested in Paramount and this specific job, plus practical things like salary expectations and work authorization. My resume didn't make it past that stage, so no further rounds.
- Can you explain your interest in Paramount?
- What makes you want this particular role?
- What salary are you looking for?
Financial Analyst
I had a phone interview with the recruiter first, then two more zoom calls. The first phone interview was quick, they asked about my experience and if it fit the job. The second interview was over zoom and lasted about 45 minutes. The interviewer was really nice and we had a good chat about the role, with some technical and accounting questions. I didn't prepare enough and didn't get an offer.
- Can you explain debits and credits?
- Explain the revenue principle under GAAP.
- What software have you used?
Financial Analyst
I met with 4 people in the department. The interviews were back-to-back, one-on-one, and pretty typical. The work environment and morale in this department seemed good. The scheduling didn't go perfectly because of conflicting schedules, but an informal chat with someone else got squeezed in.
- What prompts your job search?
- Can you detail your current company's approach to product amortization?
