Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Parallon.
Registered Nurse
The interview process was completed in under a week. After receiving an offer, I underwent a drug test and background check. Once those were cleared, I entered the credentialing phase, which took over a month. During credentialing, communication was poor, as the specialist in charge never returned my calls. I had all my documentation ready and submitted it promptly. Onboarding itself was a lengthy and frustrating experience.
- Tell me about a time you demonstrated a specific behavior relevant to this role.
Registered Nurse
The training is done onsite, and the annual review can be done from home. HCA is very serious about their safety policies and uses constant computer-based training to make sure everyone is up-to-date with current and ongoing practices. This is a good thing for them and for the employees. The time you spend doing these tasks is paid, but at a lower rate than your clinical pay.
- Can you describe the most challenging event you've faced in your nursing career?
Registered Nurse
this process was ridiculous and excessive for the position I was applying for. The home office was incompetent regarding the ridiculous documents I had to produce and drug screen resulting in further delay of my employment, I had to constantly check in with office to verify if things were being applied so we could move forward in the process
