Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Parallon.
Manager-In-Training
It was a super easy and relaxed phone interview that only took about 15 minutes. Then you take two skills/personality tests. After about a week I got invited for an in-person interview then they canceled.
- Can you share an instance where you surpassed expectations?
- What led you to choose your college and specific major?
- What are your aspirations for the next 3-5 years?
Manager
I applied online in June 2017. Had my first interview with the Director via video on June 17, 2019. Then I did an online test about my personality and leadership style as a manager. After that, my second interview was scheduled with the team for June 27, 2019. My third interview was with the AVP in August 2019. I followed up and was told they were still interviewing other candidates. I found it odd since I thought I was in the final stages. It would have been better if they had just told me it wasn't a good fit. I haven't heard back since mid-August, so I've moved on.
- Can you describe the type of manager you prefer?
- What would you say is your leadership style?
Manager
The interview process was solely focused on situational questions. I discussed how I'd deal with employees, especially difficult ones, and handle challenging projects. There wasn't much emphasis on technical skills or knowledge. It was all situationals, situationals, and more situationals. They weren't really interested in hearing about my accomplishments or strengths. The process included a recruiter call and then an onsite interview.
- How would you manage a situation where you had to work long hours consistently?
- Describe your approach to managing challenging personnel situations.
- What is your strategy for navigating difficult project circumstances?
